2000-2005          PhD. student and scientific collaborator at the Pesticide Science Laboratory Department of Plant Protection of the School of Agriculture, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Ph.D. thesis “Fate of the herbicides atrazine, metolachlor and their metabolites in the soil”.

1998-2000          MSc. in plant protection skilled work in pesticide residue analysis. Thesis “Analysis of dithiocarbamate fungicide residues in dry tobacco and peaches”.

1992-1997          BSc. in plant protection (5-year Degree) at the “School of Agriculture, Aristotle University” in Thessaloniki, Greece.

 

Research Experience

2007-2008          Postdoc fellow honoured by the State Scholarship Foundation of Greece, at the Pesticide Science Laboratory Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece in the group of Prof. E. Papadopoulou-Mourkidou.

2005-2006:        Assistant researcher at the Pesticide Science Laboratory of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece in the following research projects.

                        (1) Assistance of the existent substructure of the pesticide science laboratory of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki for the analysis of pesticide residues in tobacco. E.P. Competitiveness, Module 1.2, Action 1.2.2, Funded by European Community (65%) and Greek Ministry (35%)

                        (2) Upgrade of the equipment of the pesticide science laboratory. Project AKMON 3rd EU framework Funded by European Community (65%) and Greek Ministry (35%)

                        (3) Development of ISO 9001 (2000) and ISO 17:025:2005 quality systems in the pesticide science laboratory (technical manager, and author of 42 working guidance).

2003-2005          Assistant researcher in the following research project “Analysis of pesticide residues in agricultural products”. Funded by Greek companies.

2002-2003          Assistant researcher in the following research project “Continuation of the monitoring of pesticide residues in ground and surface waters of the Macedonia-Thrace corn-cultivated area” Funded by Novartis Crop Protection AG, Basel Switzerland.
