Short Bio

Nikolaos Mitianoudis received the Diploma in Electronic and Computer Engineering from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece in 1998. He received the MSc in Communications and Signal Processing from Imperial College London, UK in 2000 and the PhD in Audio Source Separation using Independent Component Analysis from Queen Mary, University of London, UK in 2004. Between 2003 and 2009, he was a Research Associate at the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department at Imperial College London, UK working on the Data Information Fusion-Defense Technology Centre project "Applied Multi-Dimensional Fusion", sponsored by General Dynamics UK and QinetiQ. From 2009 until 2010, he was an Academic Assistant at the International Hellenic University in Thermi, Greece. In 2010, he joined the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the Democritus University of Thrace, Greece, where he currently serves as an Associate Professor in Audio and Image Processing. His research interests include applications of Statistical Signal Processing, Machine Learning, Audition and Vision.
