Winter Semester

Geodesy I: This is an introductory course to geodetic concepts and surveying activities for the first year undergraduate civil engineering students.

Construction Equipment: This is an introductory course to construction equipment that are typically used in construction sites. Special attention is given to safety issues and to the creation of construction safety plans.

Systems Engineering Principles: This is introductory course to systems theory and systems dynamics as well as to the Viable Systems Model for the students of the System Engineering and Management postgraduate program.

Summer Semester

Geodesy II: This is a bit more advanced course to geodetic concepts and surveying activities for the first year undergraduate civil engineering students.

Solid Waste Management: This is an introductory course to solid waste management for the fourth year undergraduate civil engineering students. The students have to create a systems dynamics model of solid waste management system that serves a virtual city.

Systems Safety Engineering: This course introduce the third year undergraduate civil engineering students to the basic categories of accident models and to some popular hazard analysis techniques. Special attention is given to the STAMP accident model and STPA hazard analysis.

Web Programming and Internet Security: This course introduce the second year undergraduate civil engineering students to the basic methods and tools for web programming and web security.
