Biostatistics

Descriptive statistics: Collecting–presenting–processing biological data. Measures of central tendency–dispersion–shape. Elements of probability. Theoretical distributions (Bernoulli, binomial, Poisson, hypergeometric, normal, standard normal, χ^2, t, F). Applied statistics: Parameter estimation (point estimation, confidence interval estimation). Hypothesis testing (tests of equality of means, equality of variances, goodness of fit, independence χ^2, correlation, randomness, homogeneity). Analysis of variance. Regression.

Forest Biometry

Forest Growth and Yield

Factors affecting the aboveground–belowground growth of the tree–the stand, estimation of tree–stand age, stem analysis, absolute–percentage growth of tree–stand, site quality, yield tables.

Sampling - Experimental Designs

Simple random sampling, stratified random sampling, systematic sampling, unequal probability sampling, multistage sampling, multiphase sampling, consecutive sampling, other sampling methods.
