All courses are conducted in Greek language. The following classes' synopses are also in Greek.

Winter Semester

N501 Sport Tourism and Recreation
The main aims of this course are:
  • To introduce students to the science of Sports Tourism (ST) and recreation.
  • To educate them on theoretical and practical issues regarding ST (development of business plan, development of sport tourism destinations, administration of target groups/participants of ST activities and its related forms).
  • To create appropriate conditions for research on ST and animation in Greece.
  • To create appropriate conditions for professional activity in businesses and organizations involved in ST at national and international level
  • To encourage/develop entrepreneurship in ST.
  • To make students who are specialized in "Sport Tourism and Recreation" able to organize sport and cultural events.
N056 Sport animation in Hotels
The main aims of this course are:
  • To introduce the students to the science of sports tourism (ST), animation, recreation and outdoor sports.
  • The theoretical and practical training of students on issues that concern ST and an imation.
  • The management of target groups / participants in ST and its alternative forms.
  • The creation of conditions for research on ST and animation in Greece.
  • The creation of the appropriate conditions for professional activity at businesses/hotels, cruise ships and organizations involved in ST at national and international level.

Spring Semester

N152 Management of Health and Fitness Clubs - Corporate fitness programs (Co-teaching)
The main aims of this course are:
  • To teach the students how to establish and function a fitness club.
  • To let them know about the trends in the fitness sector worldwide and make them able to identify the appropriate ones that can be implemented in different parts of the country.
  • To familiarize them with the programs that may take place inside or outside corporationsand d) present the possibility of cooperation between corporations-fitness clubs for the benefitof employees.
N044 Sport Leisure & Recreation (Co-teaching)
After the completion of this course the student will be able to understand:
  • The important role that leisure and recreation play in the live of human being through physiological and psychological context.
  • The needed structure of the organization that provides leisure services. Also the student will to able to plan and evaluate leisure programs.
N505 Sports for all (Co-teaching)
The main aims of this course are:
  • To examine issues regarding physical activity and sport in leisure time, such as the development of sport for all in modern times, the influencing sociopolitical factors, the benefits deriving from exercise, the factors inhibiting participationand the programs that can be developed for specific groups of people (i.e., elderly, people with heart problems, obese people, etc.).
N123 Didactics in Basketball
The main aims of this course are:
  • To learn how to teach the basic personal basketball skills.
  • To apply teaching skills for many basketball drills aiming to master the fundamental requirements of basketball.
  • To learn the contemporary teaching methods applied in simple or multiple basic basketball skills.
  • To learn how to apply teaching skills in the process of developing the training structure in basketball.
  • To understand the defensive and offensive philosophy of the game. The overall goal of the course is through the teaching methods and its applications to enable students to develop their abilities as prospective basketball instructors in the field of Physical Education.
