Click here to download the compressed archive : pepinsky.tar.gz
(3.1 MBytes). The distribution includes source code, documentation, example scripts, a couple of exercises and
pre-compiled executables suitable for Irix, Linux, OSF and solaris.
Once you downloaded the file, do :
gunzip pepinsky.tar.gz
tar xvf pepinsky.tar
cd pepinsky/bin
cd my-architecture
gunzip pepinsky.gz
./pepinsky
The screen should go blue (or black, depending on the architecture),
there will be a short pause (few seconds), and then a Patterson function should appear.
If all this happens, everything is OK :
press <ESC> and have a look at the documentation.
If you have an Irix machine and the program complains about a missing library, try the second executable
provided with the distribution (with ./pepinsky_IRIX53).
If on a Linux machine with the GNOME manager you get an error message from the X server, try
running the program from within Window Maker or KDE.
If the problem persists, please do mail me a description of it.
