Biographical note Simos Papadopoulos graduated from the department of Primary Education and earned his Ph.D from the faculty of Philosophy, both at the University of Athens. Currently he is lecturer of theatre studies at the department of Primary Education of the Democritus University of Thrace and drama animator. His Ph.D. thesis -with title the Use of Drama and its Implications in Teaching in the Course of Language in Primary School- focuses on the field of theatre studies and drama in education. He has published in journals and collective volumes and attended international and Greek scientific conferences as instructor or presenter. Moreover, he has participated in research programs and committees. His recent study Drama Language: Using Inquiry Drama in Language Teaching was published in 2007 by Kedros publications. His work deals with theatre pedagogy, the analysis of dramatic text, the theatre for young people, especially in Brecht’s and Chekhov’s plays.
